Memories 3
- For a short haired cat he shed a lot and year round to boot. His hair would get everywhere and it drove me towards getting clothing that tended to be made of microfiber. Friends who visited would find Tonpi hair - mainly the white little hairs - in their clothing months later. After I left the dorms and lived in apartments, my choices in furniture and decor always took into account his hair and his tendency to shred rugs.
- He wasnt a very chatty kitten when he was younger but as soon as I had a job and thus wasn't spending as much time with him, he developed a cute meow and a chirpy welcoming mew. His purr deepened and was a comfort when I lived by myself. Later, moving to the Boston area, his meow got stronger and insistant when I would get home from work- he seemed to miss me.
- There was a position he would tuck himself into I called 'The Tonpi Boat'. A lot of cats do it- they stuff their legs underneath them so they are showing- making themselves look like a body and a head with no appendages. He would close his eyes and look like he could rest like that forever- peaceful and comfortable.
